GLADYS Weatherall (nee Orcher) was born on Noodoo Station, Dirranbandi on 24th December 1900. The sixth child —of eight children—of John (Jack) Orcher/Orchard and Elizabeth/Eliza Orcher (nee Murray). Edward, Louis, Jack, Thomas, Arthur, Rene, Olive. In 1920 Gladys married Gordon Cleveland Weatherall at Collarenabri NSW. They lived at Pooloomoodool, an outstation of Noondoo which was owned by the Australian Pastoral Company (APC). They raised fourteen children Rita (Rose), Sarah (West), Amy (Rose), Una (Crawley), William/Bill, twins- Violet/Jean (Hardy) & Arthur/Douglas,Aubrey, Alfred, Joyce (Smith), Mervyn/Joe, Kevin, Clifford/Pud, Yvonne (Bailey). When the APC lease was finalised it was not renewed and blocks were sold off. Gordon and Gladys then moved to Currawong Station (Mungindi side of Dareel).
When her husband/Gordon passed away in 1963, Gladys moved to Dirranbandi. It is unclear exactly what year she relocated to Toowoomba however, electoral records show that she was living in Toowoomba 1968. She resided at 130 Herries Street with her youngest son Clifford/Pud till she passed away in 1972. Gladys was returned to Dirranbandi by train to rest beside her husband Gordon. Parents and siblings-
