This is the grave of Patrick and his father. Patrick was born in Walgett on 9 th march 1959 his parents  were Michael (Pat) and Beverly Stephens, he was the eldest son of 3. Patrick grew up in Dirranbandi. The Stephens family has been in the area for more than 80 years. His mother and father owned a property out of Dirranbandi called Glendalough where him and his brothers grew up. They moved to town and bought the butcher shop. Patrick went to boarding school in Toowoomba and was always a bit of a wild child. In his twenty’s he moved backed to Dirranbandi and bought a house. He helped his parents run Glendalough and mail run contracts. Patrick meet Teena and they bought the post office and continued to run the property, mail runs and Patrick also did kangaroo shooting and chiller boxes. He was a hard working family man. Patrick and Teena travelled around the world, he loved to travel. Patrick also loved to ride Harley Davison motorbikes and owned one. Ill health caused him to Leave Dirranbandi to live in Brisbane to be closer to his daughter Jasmine and grandsons Jhett and Jaxton.  Patrick was a great father and poppy.  On May 2nd at 11am 2023 he lost his life to lung disease.  He is greatly missed.
