How It Works: A Modern Approach to Memorials
Resting Place Connections® has developed a digital platform that allows families to document and share their loved one’s story in an accessible and lasting form. The process begins on their user-friendly website, where users can create an account and begin compiling their story. Whether you are tech-savvy or not, the platform is designed to be inclusive and supportive.
You can choose between building the story yourself or requesting assistance from the Resting Place Connections® team. Once your preferred option is selected and payment is finalised, you begin populating the narrative—adding biographical details, memories, photos, and significant events in the person’s life.
Flexibility is a core feature of the platform. You can log in at any time, continue editing, and invite family and friends to collaborate through email invitations. Everyone working together ensures a rich, well-rounded story. Only one person maintains responsibility for the final submission, but the collaborative nature helps bring multiple perspectives into the story.
Once you’re satisfied with the entry, simply publish. After publication, collaborators will need new invites if further changes are required. While the digital story becomes accessible online, a physical element is also delivered—a (5cm x 5cm) laser-etched QR code on stainless steel.
The QR code becomes a bridge, linking a physical place of rest with the digital memorial. It arrives with instructions and adhesive materials designed for simple attachment to a headstone or existing memorial. This modern addition provides immediate access to stories, bios, and photographs, simply by scanning the code with a smartphone.
