Our Story
Resting Place Connections® provides a platform for storing and sharing valuable family stories which connect current and future generations with ancestors.
We use modern QR technology with historical stories to help future generations to understand their connections with people, places, dates and events significant to them and their families.
The idea for Resting Place Connections® by Tania & Russell Montagu came to reality in 2022/2023, out of respect for Tania’s parents who are the only Crawleys resting in the Dirranbandi Cemetery. Tania wanted to give her parents a voice and share that while her dad’s family are resting in the Brisbane area, her mum has other family members (with different surnames) also resting in the Dirranbandi Cemetery.
Meet Our Team
Tania Montagu — Business Manager and Story writer
Tania was born in Dirranbandi Qld. Australia. Her maternal ancestors are First Nations – Euahlayi, Kamilaroi & Kooma people. Her paternal ancestors are Irish and English. Her parents are resting in the Dirranbandi cemetery along with her maternal Grandparents and many of her Mother’s extended family members.
Russell Montagu — Finance & Production Manager
Russell was born in Brisbane Qld Australia. His mother was born in Australia however his maternal ancestors are Scottish; his paternal ancestors English, his father was born in London. Russell’s father passed and was cremated in Tasmania, his ashes spread in the creek of one of his favourite places near Brisbane Qld. His Mother in her 90’s is still living in Brisbane (Nov 2023).
